As a way forward in gaining public confidence and addressing law and order in the nation’s capital, the newly appointed Metropolitan Superintendent for National Capital District Silva Sika is carrying out inspections to all the nine police stations inside the city.
On Tuesday morning the NCD Metropolitan Superintendent Silva Sika visited the Badili Police Station and its officers.
Police at Badili were on high alert as NCD’s top cop paid them a visit, the police parade at Badili police station started as soon as the metropolitan superintendent Silva Sika entered the station premises.
Accompanied by the station commander for Badili Police Station Inspector Obert Jerry and Commander Chief Inspector Fred Tundu, the NCD Metsup inspected all the officers that were present during the parade.
In his address to the police men and women Metsup Sika said, the inspection is to bring the police men and women back to the basics in terms of their conducts when on duty out in the public.
Metsup Sika further added that he wanted all the police officers to know the plans of the metsup and the zone commanders so there is unity in working together to achieve common goals.
Sika also alluded that many things have been said about the police force especially in NCD regarding their conduct and this has to change.
The Metsup urged the officers to work hard to maintain law and order in the city but there must be fairness when dealing with individuals in the public.
The first inspection was done at the Town Police station.
Metsup Sika will continue on with the inspection to other police stations throughout the city. Yesterday he visited Hohola Police station.
