Melchior Lomore: Biz Box Promotional Winner

Papua New Guineans have been encouraged to venture into small businesses, with support from the National Development Bank and its subsidiary, NDB Investments.

NDB knows that there are many Papua New Guineans who are keen to startup businesses, but lack the basic know – how.

Therefore, the people’s bank has developed with the Stret Pasin Business Incubation Program to assist local businesses.

After two months of running a promotional competition called Biz Box or Business In a Box Concept, a winner was officially announced today.

This is Melchior Lomore from East Sepik Province, the winner of NDB’s Biz Box promotional draw.

It was always his intention to become a businessman, but hesitated because he didn’t know how to start one.

However, all his dreams came true when he got a call from the National Development Bank.

National Development Bank, through its subsidiary NDB Investments, initiated the Stret Pasin Business Incubation Program to enable Papua New Guineans to venture into small businesses.

It will also provide the necessary training and support until a business is well – established.

The Biz Box concept is a low cost business set up that gives an entrepreneur the opportunity to come up with their choice of a business idea, and consult NDB to ensure the business is commercially viable.

More Biz Boxes will be made available by the National Development Bank Investments through loans and interested entrepreneurs are encouraged to participate.
