Madang Revives Softball

The Madang Softball Association is reviving and strengthening the code after it has been on and off for some time.

President John Bibi says the association is looking at strategies that would not lead the softball code to death, but bring life to sustain its growth in the province.

You may be wondering softball matches played in this off season by the Madang Softball Association. Well there are many reasons. Madang is one of the softball champions refining the code after competition has been dooming for some time.

To make it more a family game, the association under the leadership of John Bibi, has a vision, and is to roll out the code to other rural areas of the province.

The Association is also encouraging Uni development Program in all schools, teaching students about the softball code itself.

Another reason running the competition in this off season is to select players for the upcoming national club championships next month that Madang will host.

Mr. Bibi pointed out four Games venues; the Divine Word University, Madang Technical College, Tusbab Secondary School and Yabob park.

Mr Bibi can be contacted on the numbers shown on the screen, Digicel number, 73 366 177 or Office landline 422 0364.
