PNG Rugby Football League CEO, Bob Cutmore, announced this morning the suspension of PNG Hunters forward Timothy Lomai.
The 23-year-old was suspended from the PNG Hunters pre-season camp and further training due to his failure in maintaining the values expected of the Hunters playing group.
Cutmore said the suspension may, and can, be lifted dependent on Lomai’s ongoing commitment and dedication to the stated values of the Hunters and his willingness to show his fellow players and Hunters staff that he is determined to do his best for the team.
The PNG Hunters remains in training with a 24-man squad, under the guidance of assistant coach, Nigel Hukula, while head coach Michael Marum is on leave.
