‘Learn To Swim’ Program Underway at Aquatic Centre

The PNG Aquatic Centre in Port Moresby is now running a learn to swim program for school children, as well as adults, willing to learn how to swim.

Learn To Swim coach, Albert Vigil, said this is an opportunity provided to parents, adults and their children to learn the basics of swimming at a world class facility. The program is now being carried out at the Taurama Aquatic Centre for school children, interested adults and anyone looking at getting back into fitness.

This new program is also aimed at targeting young children to get them involved and increase capacity and numbers in the code of swimming.

Coach Vigil said now that PNG has world class facilities, it’s time they are put to good use in training our young athletes of tomorrow.

Apart from the Learn To Swim program for young children, programs are also carried out for adult swimming classes, and anyone interested can pick up membership forms at the Aquatic Centre.
