Law enforcement agents to move into troubled Kandep

Enga Governor Peter Ipatas says peace must be maintained in Kandep before services can be expanded to that part ofthe province.

He was referring tothe on-going election related violence between supporters of current MP and Treasurer Don Polye and ther losing candidates.

Governor Ipatas saysthe fights are elected –related violence, hence, he wants Kandep MP & Treasurer Don Polye to utilisethe K10million underthe DSIP to facilitate peace negotiations.

The Governor confirmed to date; over sixty people have losttheir lives inthe tribal warfare. The police andthe District Administration will be meeting withthe Law & Order Committee today to addressthe issue completely.
