Lae Football Club has made the most of their home ground advantage taking out the 2012 Besta Cup title in both the men and women’s divisions.
LFA finished top of the ladder in the Besta Regional Cup challenge held in Lae while surprise package Bougainville came as runners up.
NCD PSSA and Southern Regional Representatives finished off in third spot and Simbu wrapped up the top 4 teams in the Men’s division of the Besta Cup challenge.
In the women’s, it was LFA who lived up to the expectations of their fan base with NCD PSSA coming in 2nd place.
Simbu women did one step better than the men by finishing off in the 3rd spot followed by Bougainville who represented the NGI region in the 4th place.
All in all the Besta Cup challenge displayed high level of soccer.
