Kilakila Student Wounded

by Theckla Gunga – EM TV News, Port Moresby

A Grade eleven student attending Kilakila Secondary was wounded by a gunshot he believed was fired by an expatriate shop owner in Port Moresby this morning.

The 20 year old who refused to speak on camera said he was on his way to school when he was shot.

This incident occurred around the same time the three police vehicles were destroyed at Manu Auto-port.

Gibson Otto, the man who assisted the student to Port Moresby General Hospital told EMTV News the student did not know he was shot.

“The student was on his way to do his end of academic year clearance at Kilakila when he was shot. He felt something cold on his waist and when he looked down, there was blood coming out of his skin,” Otto said.

“I took him to the hospital but I do not his conditions,” Otto added.
