Jubilee looking to defend title

The NCD Leg ofthe IBe School Debate Competition kicked off this Monday with six schools beginningthe elimination rounds. Fourteen schools are taking part.

Defending National champions Jubilee Secondary began its campaign to retainthe title. The champions were up against Port MoresbyInternational School.

Their topic, “All provinces should be autonomous intheir finances in PNG ”

For Jubilee it is going to be tough task defendingtheir national title against more than fifty schools from twelve provinces. Betthey believethey are up for the challenge.

The first provincial leg was held last week, with Mt Diamond Secondary defeating reigning provincial champs Sogeri National High. They will be representing Central Province.

IBe School Coordinator Vanie Nades saidthe standard of debates improvers every year and this year is no exception.

The next provincial leg will be held in Enga Province.
