After making their debut in the Hong Kong 7s earlier this year, the CPL PNG Palais have recalled the services of debutants Michelle John and Barbra Sesel.
Among the 28 selected for the train on squad are Goroka-based debutants, Michelle John and Barbra Sesel, who arrived yesterday in the Nation’s Capital and Mt. Hagen-based Molina Michael and Lae-based Elma Johnson.
John and Sesel are grateful of their selection and since their return from the Hong Kong 7s, both players have taken up training regimes given by Head Coach Elenoa Kunatuba to maintain their fitness.
All 5 players were scouted during the Women’s National Provincial Championship, held earlier this year.
Despite the absence of Brisbane-based Marlugu Dixon, Amelia Kuk and Kymlie Rapilla due to injury, the return of playmaker and speed star Joan Lagona, track queen Mae Koime and experienced utility Cathy Neap are sure to add speed to the young select side.
Palais Coach Elenoa Kunatuba has selected a pool of young footballers to mould with the seasoned and experienced players.
