Ahead of tomorrow’s trial match to mark the opening of the National Football Stadium, the Panthers New South Wales Cup side and the SP PNG Hunters had a feel of the ground this afternoon.

The SP Hunters players are excited and privileged to have the opportunity to be the first to play on the brand new facility.

Coach of the Hunters, Michael Marum, isn’t expecting anything extraordinary from the team, he wants to use tomorrow’s trial match to test his combinations ahead of the 2016 season.

The Hunters this season will be without a number of key players who will be playing in various rugby league competitions worldwide.

Coach Marum wants to see how the fresh talents will perform in this trial match.

The National Football Stadium will cater for up to 15,000 people and is expected to be filled with rugby fanatics tomorrow.

The Hunters also urged followers and fans to go down and support the team.
