The hospitality industry has grown dramatically in the recent times, especially in the Nation’s Capital of Papua New Guinea.
Holiday Inn Express is the newest addition to the InterContinental Hotels Group.
With 199 rooms, Holiday Inn Express is expected to open its doors to the public in the coming days.
The Holiday Inn Express is located in the heart of Waigani, in the same vicinity as the established Holiday Inn & Suites Port Moresby.
As its name points out, the hotel follows an express model, where only selected services are provided. Area General Manager IHG/ PNG, Tim Pollock, said he and his team are excited about the upcoming opening.
Mr Pollock said the select service model was seen as a niche in the market that’s missing. The Holiday Inn Express is part of the InterContinental Hotels Group.
The owning group is the Kumul Hotels Limited, made up of Nambawan Supa, Melanesian Trustee Services Limited and IHG.
The Express hotel has its eyes set on the tracking business coming in, especially those that walk the Kokoda Track every year. Forward bookings have already been made for the end of the month for the upcoming ANZAC Walk.
Mr Pollock said the new hotel is looking forward to welcoming its Port Moresby family and PNG friends to experience the Holiday Inn Express.
