Minister for Sport Justin Tkatchenko has urged businesses and individuals to take ownership ofthe Pacific games to be stage here in 2015.
That came duringthe announcement ofthe Silver Sponsorship by Hertz Rent a Car.
Minister Tkatchenko met withthe Pacific Games Committees to welcome onboard Hertz Rent a Car.
Out ofthe five categories of sponsorships, BeP has come on board asthe official sponsor with a total of K6 million with Moore Printing and Hertz Rent A Car supportingthe Games as Silver sponsors with a total of K500, 000.00.
Platnium, Gold and Supporting sponsors’ categories are still awaiting backers.
Tkatchenko says, preparations are in progress and encourage everyone including business operating inthe country to take ownership ofthe Games. Having corporate sponsors on board makesthe event important.
Hertz made an announcement to be part ofthe game in terms of providing its services. The vehicles will be used bythe Games Organizing committees.
Hertz will work along withthe Sport Ministry andthe Government as well as ther sponsors to promote and to givethe best Games in 2015.
Sponsorships are open to corporates andthe public.
