The Port Moresby Corporate Blood Drive Team has raised the message that eating healthy food is needed for the steady flow of blood in your body.
Corporate Blood Drive Manager, Anna Megueria, told EMTV News the majority of blood collected in Papua New Guinea comes from students in tertiary institutions, but there is a need for more.
Employees in the corporate sector should consider donating blood to save lives.
“This is the third year, since this program was introduced by the Corporate Blood Drive team.
“We have seen increase in blood donations from 360 to 1100,” Megueria said.
ANZ Bank for the second time has come on board to support the blood drive program, donating 6 thousand kina.
ANZ Chief Executive Officer, Mark Baker, said rather than concentrating on financial education, ANZ promotes good health.
General Hospital Chief Executive Officer, Grant Muddle, thanked ANZ for supporting the health program.
