We visitthe St. John Ambulance head office and base at Taurama in Port Moresby. The St. John Ambulance has been in Papua New Guineafor the last 56 years and has been a consistent provider of health emergency assistance through its ambulance services and First Aid training courses.
We have a chat withtheir National SuperintendentoMajor Mollen Molki, aboutthe work of St John and about what to do in emergency situations.
Captain Alicia Gegera assisted by Private Robert Aribi also showed us two demonstrations on first aid. The first was performed on a still breathing, unconscious person andthe ther on an unconscious person who is not breathing.
