Haoda Assists Emergency Medical Services

Central Governor, Kila Haoda presented a cheque worth K250,000.00 to the Emergency Medical Services PNG on Friday at the Provincial Government Office.

This is to assist EMSPNG in providing Emergency Medical Services to the villages in the Central Province. Villages that are agreed on for the Medical Assistance are Papa-Lealea in the East to Gabagaba in the West of Central Province.

EMSPNG was launched in March last year and has been providing Medical Assistance since. In a bid to help its people with medical services, the Central Provincial Government has partnered with EMS for quick delivery of Medical Services to its people in the villages.

Formal agreements were signed by the Central Governor, Kila Haoda and Dr Lautofa Pulotu McCarthy of EMS before the presentation of the cheque.

Services will be provided include ambulance service 24/7 to areas agreed on by both parties. Dr McCarthy also added that with the assistance from the Governor, he hopes that it will allow EMS to provide first aid training to selected groups in the Central villages.
