Gordons Touch Competition

The Gordons Police Barracks Touch Rugby Competition in the National Capital has gone into second round of its preliminary finals.

After series of games playoffs last week, several teams have qualified for the preliminary finals scheduled in the coming week.

Several teams have put up a strong competition for the grand final post showdown at the Gordons Rugby League Oval in the Nation’s Capital.  

In the first preliminary round of the 2016 Gordons Touch Rugby Competition for the D grade minor division, Texas Knights down play Sena Tigers by 16 points to 2.

Moreover, in the C grade, 5 Mile Cowboys was too good to have the upper hand by defending Bala Raiders 6 points to nil.

In another development of the B grade division, the Freeway Rabbit’sh was too strong to thrash Hanua Roosters by 10 points to 8.

This community base touch rugby competition has the benefit of current Rabaul Gurias star Forward Samuel Hamari, David Mone Port Moresby Vipers and many others.

With its promising end, Gordons Touch Rugby Competition President Walo Kere is appealing for more sponsors to assist this local completion.
