Goilala MP Daniel Mona says most of their 2013 budget was spent on hiring planes and choppers to bring in goods and services to the electorate.
Mr Mona said this while officially handing his district acquittals for the 2013 financial year over to the Department of Implementation and Rural Development today.
The acquittals were received by deputy secretary Badira Vari.
The 2013 District Services Improvement Program funds acquittals for Goilala electorate have been submitted to the Department of Implementation and Rural Development.
The acquittals were handed over by Goilala MP Daniel Mona, witnessed by District Administrator, Jimmy Aniawa.
Mr Mona said of the K10 million DSIP funds, the percentage breakup for each sector was unbalanced due to the remoteness of the district. He said most of the funds were spent on hiring planes and choppers.
Department of Implementation and Rural Development Deputy Secretary, Badira Vari, thanked the Goilala Administration for submitting their reports.
Meanwhile, Mr Vari said with the end of 2014 approaching, a good number of LLGs, districts and provinces are yet to submit their 2013 acquittals.
