One ofthe country’s oldest women organization,the ‘Girl Guides’ is reviving its programs again.
And its executives are now gearing up to attend trainings with ther world Girl Guides lLeadersto equipthemselves for the task ahead.
The Girl Guides Headquarter is located in Hauabada village in Port Moresby, since 1929.
It has been dormant for a while with its membership declining overthe years. Bet this is set to change.
The volunteer executives ofthe organisation met on last week to make preparations to attend two separate trainings overseas atthe end ofthe week.
Six ofthem will be going to Beisbane in Australia to attendthe Pacific Strategic Meeting headed bythe Deputy Commissioner.
National Trainer Mirisa and her assistant Stephanie Silih will attendthe world leader’s development program training in England.
They hope to come back equipped to carry out its programs to help youths inthe country especially young girls.
