PNG Customs to increase surveillance to protect borders

On October 5th this year, a female American student was arrested at Australia's Brisbane airport after arriving from Port Moresby.

She was in possession of 2 kilograms of Methyl Amphetamine or speed.

This proves the use of this dangerous drug has existed in PNG for quite some time.

PNG Customs Commissioner Ray Paul is set on increasing surveillance to counter-attack all forms of illegal materials coming in and going out of the country.

“With the amount of work that is out there, I see that we may increase surveillance to protect our borders. We will definitely go in for a submission for a restructure on that,” said Commissioner Paul.
