Lae Police are investigating the death of a nine-year-old girl whose body was found at 3mile yesterday afternoon.
Lae Metropolitan Commander, Chief Superintendent Chris Kunyanban said the girl, from Kagua in Southern Highlands Province, went missing on Saturday and was found dead yesterday.
While police are waiting for the doctor’s report to confirm the cause of her death, the parents of the young girl have been brought in for interrogation at the Lae Central Police Station.
An investigation into the incident is underway with a full brief to be released soon.
