Managing Director, Marcus Kara, speaking to EMTV News said with increasing enrollments and infrastructure available, it aims to become a premier institution in the country.
Mapex Training Institute is located near the Boroko area in Port Moresby.
The institution enrolls students from across Papua New Guinea with many of them being school leavers.
It was established in 2015 by following Mr. Kara’s dreams and aspirations to develop human resources of this country.
The school’s reputation for competency and quality has seen an increased student enrollment who came through the TVET Scholarship Programs.
This semester the institution enrolled 730 students both residential and non-residential.
Principal Alphonse Foima said the school hosts experienced staff teaching in the different fields of mining, business management, computing, aviation among others.
It also market its graduating students through PNG Job Seek and coordinates job training with relevant companies and organisations.
