The annual game fishing titles attracts anglers from right around the country, and even Australia, to compete.
Papua New Guinea is known for having some of the best fishing spots throughout the country.
Following the 40th game fishing titles held in the nation’s capital last year, this time around fishing teams will make the trip to the New Guinea islands region for this year’s event in Rabaul, East New Britain Province.
The tournament will feature a variety of different formats, spread across a week-long schedule.
The game fishing titles is one of biggest water sport events in the country, and every year, competition gets tougher and tougher.
This year the competition is expecting to attract not only local anglers but international competition as well.
The titles begin on the 18th of March and will run through till the 29th.
