France Ambassador – France Day is the result of democratic process

The top executives in Port Moresby including the diplomats, Papua New Guinea officials, and friends gathered together with the France community over the weekend in Port Moresby to celebrate the French National Day.

The Ambassador of the Republic of French Alain Waquet said, every year, the National Day offers an opportunity to recall key moments of the French history and tradition.

 

Waquet said the France Day is the result of democratic process that began in 1789. He said democracy should not remain a permanent goal but also a sustainable goal.

 

He said many things can be done for PNG’s development and that closer political and economic relations between both counties will be of mutual benefit.
