Electoral commission officials from all over the country have converged in Kokopo for a week-long election workshop.
The meeting seeks to prepare officials for the coming general elections.
Chief Secretary to the government, Isaac Lupari, Electoral Commissioner, Patilias Gamato and Police Commissioner, Garry Baki officiated at the workshop.
Meanwhile, the objection and verification process for East New Britain province was launched today at Raluana LLG outside of Kokopo town.
Electoral Commissioner, Patilias Gamato, says East New Britain province is one of the first to have completed its common roll update.
Over the next two weeks, the electoral office will conduct the verification exercise, and finalise the common roll for the province in preparation for the coming elections.
