The Fiji Sevens team has set their sights on the Rio de Jeniro Olympic Games next year.
The World Sevens Series champions want to maintain their supremacy in rugby sevens and are focused on becoming the first Fijian team to win a gold medal at an Olympic Games.
The National Fiji team are eager on defending their World Sevens Series title, but they have another goal on the agenda as well, and that is to grab a gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
National coach, Ben Ryan, said the focus right now for the team will be to be Olympic Games sevens champions.
The sevens season is set to kick off in December and in the meanwhile, the Fijians are going through strengthening at the moment, but nothing too intensive.
Ryan is keen on getting the players fitter and stronger in their run for the Olympic Games.
The team may not be at their best at the moment, but coach Ryan has a plan to get the Fijian well prepared to perform at the 2016 Olympic Games.
Last week marked a year till the Olympics and the Fiji sevens teams anticipates things to move rapidly from here on then before next year.
