Hundreds turned up at the Rita Flyn Courts were the occasion to mark PNG’s 40 year partnership with the European Union (EU) was held.
Visitors, included students, corporate houses diplomats and government officials led my Minister for National Planning and Monitoring, Richard Maru.
About 20 information booths were set up to give visitors a better understanding at the work of the European Union.
National Planning Minister, Richard Maru, thanked EU ambassador, Ioannis Giogkarakis Argyropoulos, for their help and support over the last 40 years.
Supported by EUs free trade agreement policy, two major companies spoke about their exports to the European market.
Meanwhile, Minister Maru, said one area of assistance for EU to look into will be education, especially TVET programs.
