Ela Health Care Kits Concluded

Last year on the 23rd of September 2013, to commemorate the 50 year milestone celebration of Ela Motors, the company put in motion plans to provide 200 Ela Health Care Kits across the four major Hospitals throughout each region in PNG.

The donation of the Ela Health Care Kits to the wider PNG community is a show of appreciation for the rich history that both Ela Motors and PNG have forged through their partnership with the people and communities of PNG.

The Ela Motors team has worked in partnership with the National Department of Health to ensure these health kits meet the needs of the hospitals and the required health standard set by PNG.

Ela Motors have officially handed over the first set of Ela Health Care Kits to POM General Hospital on the 27th of March, the second set to Angau Memorial Hospital on the 17th of April and the third set of Ela Health Care Kits to Nonga General Hospital in Rabaul on the 1st of May, 2014.

On Friday 30th of May 2014, Ela Motors officially presented the fourth and final 50 sets of Ela Health Care Kits to the Mt. Hagen General Hospital.

The handover ceremony held at the hospital saw Ela Motors Chief Operating Officer, Takeshi Abe, presenting the Ela Health Care Kits to the Mt. Hagen General, Hospital CEO Dr. James Kintwa.

Also in attendance to witness the presentation was the President of the Chamber of Commerce Mt. Hagen Mr. Jim Leahy, hospital patients and staff and members of the Board of Management.

The hospital staffs were delighted to be the recipients of the Ela Health Care Kits.

The Kits have been allocated by the hospital to be placed in several of their Surgical and Medical Wards and also to be evenly distributed to the district clinics.

The Ela Health Care Kits consists of:

– Hospital Beds, Mattress, Pillow & Sheet Sets

– Bed Pans, Saline Stands & Bedside Tables

It has been a rewarding journey for Ela Motors to see that all 200 Ela Health Care Kits were received by the four major Hospitals to assist with the health services across the PNG community.
