The Dwellers tough defence defined Saturday’s Telikom National Soccer League (NSL) match between the Lae City Dwellers and Morobe United Welgris.
The Dwellers scored both in the first half and the second half, defending the two goals to win the game and keep a clean sheet.
Captain, Raymond Gunemba, is positive about the finals series that has just begun.
He said his boys had been training hard prior to facing their opponents this week at home in Lae.
The win has qualified them for another match on Wednesday as the series to determine a winner for the 2015/2016 NSL comes to the business end.
Morobe United Welgris, however, are confident they can improve in their performance as they continue through the finals series.
The Dwellers’ win yesterday ensures the team’s progress up the Champions League ladder.
