After three weeks of court battle over an Election petition, Madang MP Nixon Duban found some time to visit Yabob Island to perform some electoral duties.
The local Member and his delegates were welcomed by traditional dancers from Yabob Island.
Mr Duban was approached bythe community to help buildthe local church. He responded by providing K140, 000.
He toldthe people, it’s been seven months in office andthere is a lot of work to be done buttheir request was considered among thers. Mr Duban said during his court battle, most ofthe withnesses that spoke against him were church-elders from Ltheran but despite this he assisted therwise.
Minister Duban also urgedthe people to usethe funds for its intended purpose. ther areas he will look into include Womenand Youth Development.
