Dr Koroma: Fees Will be Paid in 2015

Tertiary institutions around the country have been urged to allow selected and continuing students to attend classes this academic year.

Usino Bundi Executive Officer Dr Augustine Koroma says slow government procedures have held back district funds. Koroma urged institutions not to turn away students as all fees will be paid once the district has access to its allocated funds.

“We understand guidelines and procedures of paying school fees, but I appeal to tertiary institutions to let Usino Bundi students to continue classes, as fees will paid in full, including last year’s outstanding,” said Koroma.

The Usino Bundi district has over 100 students attending tertiary institutions around the country. Dr Koroma says the district is committed to developing a strong human resource workforce by pushing students to tertiary institutions.

Meanwhile, Dr Koroma urged all Usino Bundi district students attending higher learning institutions to prioritise their studies and not to be involved in non-academic activities since the district is paying a huge sum of money for their school fees.
