A new course to improve the delivery of justice services was launched at the Divine Word University, in Madang on Monday.

The Diploma Course of Justice Administration is designed to up-skill the knowledge of people working in the area of justice administration.

Speaking at the official launch, Deputy Secretary of the Justice Department, Nichodemus Mosoro, said the training is crucial and significant for justice officers as the course is based on their current work to address challenges they face in the justice system.

The diploma course offers a comprehensive program of subjects from justice services including village courts, land mediation, juvenile justice, crime prevention and many more.

The course is co-funded by the PNG and Australian Governments.

Present to officiate the launch were heads of Law and Justice Sector agencies, including Teresa Berrigan from the PNG-Australia Law and Justice Partnership Program.
