Court Orders Nepo to Make Payment Within 7 Days

Chief Inspector Bernard Nepo has been ordered by the Supreme Court to pay K30,000 within seven days as security for costs that might arise in the substantive appeal he has made against Correctional Services (CS) Commissioner, Michael Waipo.

This order was among three other decisions made this afternoon by a three-man bench. Nepo’s appeal for a court order to reinstate him as Acting CS Commissioner until the substantive appeal was heard, was dismissed.

The court also refused Michael Waipo’s application for a court order to restrain the appointing committee, CS Minister and others from interfering with his appointment.
