The Coca-Cola Ipatas Cup is a platform to identify raw rugby league talent across the country.
Competition CEO, Timothy Lepa, when speaking to EMTV Sports, said the tournament is being used to provide opportunities to players to be selected to higher level competitions, including the National Inter-City competition.
As one of the largest off-season rugby league competitions in the country, the Coca-Cola Ipatas Cup is playing its part in identifying raw talent.
Speaking to EMTV Sports, Competition CEO Timothy Lepa, said the tournament is a platform used by clubs in the intercity competition to identify potential players for respective franchises.
This time around, the CCIC Board has resolved to engage more provinces in the competition, giving more players the opportunity to one day play in the national inter-city cup competition.
According to Lepa, the CCIC track record speaks for itself, with many players progressing from this off-season competition, to the inter-city competition.
