CMCA Projects gets over K15 million funding from PNGSDP

ThPNG Sustainable Development Program presented two cheques valued inthe millions, towardsthe Community Mine Continuation Agreement or CMCA.

On top ofthe cheques, project funding agreement of ten projects that will run through North Fly to South Fly districts ofthe Western Province. The projects will cover infrastructure development.

It was a lively occasion in Kiunga, Western Province last week as members fromthPNG Sustainable Development Program met with those fromthe Ok Tedi Development Foundation andthe South Fly Community Mine Continuation Agreement.

Representttative from OTDF said a lot of work has taken place in terms of partnership in addressingthe development needs ofthe people. With OTDF now fully set up, it is looking forward tothe implementation process through funding support froPNG SDP.

Withthe implementation process in sightoCEO ofPNG DP, David Sode, challengedthe stake holders gthered to practice transparency and accountability for the sustainability ofthe people.

PNG SDP is a 63.4% shareholder inthe OK Tedi Mine. The dividends from its shareholding are used to supportthe development of Western Province.
