Whilethe nationwide focus will be onthe National Haus Krai, the ‘Beok Belong Pikinini’ library in Lae will be organizing a “Free women from violence” campaign tomorrow atthe Lae'’s UNITECH campus.
Children as young as five attendingthe school are expected to voice concerns overthe ongoing issue of violence against women in Papua New Guinea
The children will be calling onthe government to create a safe living environment free from trouble.
The mini-event will coincide withthe National Haus Krai gthering atthe Eriku Oval.
Meantime, in Port Moresby, Police Commissioner Tom Kulunga endorsedthe National Haus Krai sit in Protest to go ahead but said it is restricted withinthe Sir John Guise Stadium andthe women are not allowed to protest outside ofthe designated area.
The purpose ofthe Haus Krai is to callthe government to take action on increase in gender based violence inthe country.
