Businesswoman Enters into Aviation Industry

A businesswoman, Ruth Undi, from Southern Highlands Province has set a new record forPNG Womenby entering intothe Aviation Business.

 

Named Niugini Aviation Services, her company provides charter services for boththe corporate, and public sectors.

Ruth’s fourth single-engine aircraft arrived late yesterday afternoon at JacksonsInternational Airport where it was giventhe traditional welcome wash down by aviation fire trucks.

 

On hand to receivethe plane were Ruth, her husband Rockson Undi, representatives from CASA, ther important dignitaries, family and friend.

 

Beingthe only female Papua New Guinea inthe aviation business, she was thankful to everyone who supported her in bringing this plane tPNG.

 

She already has three small planes servicing different parts ofthe country, andthe latest arrival has boostedthe number to four.

 

Her husband, who isthe CEO ofthe company known as Niugini Aviation Services, while thanking everyone involved inthe success of this business, also highlightedthe fact that doing business in this industry was tough and one had to take risks.

 

Fortunately for Niugini Aviation Services, this new plane and one ofthe old ones will servicethe people of Western province.

 

Western Province Governor Ati Wobiro has entered into a contractual agreement with NAS to usetheir planes for three years.

 

Chief Executive ofthe Civil Aviation Safety Authority, Wilson Sagati, congratulatedthe Undi’s for the acquisition oftheir new plane and said to work in partnership withthem, to ensure safety is maintained.

 

He encouraged thePNG nationals to followthe example of NAS, and enter intothe aviation business.
