Papua New Guinea breeds a special kind of women; industrious and hard working women; women who toil, women who break cultural norms and social stereotypes.
In a largely patriarchal society, more and more women are breaking societal norms and working in jobs that have been traditionally reserved for men as they step up to serve as their family’s breadwinners.
Papua New Guinea is often described as the Land of the unexpected. So why is it that eye brows are raised and judgments are made when women do the unexpected and rise past the status quo?
