Business PNG – Episode 24, 2014

This weeks episode on Business PNG, we look at the Melanesian Festival of Arts & Culture in Business Perspective.

The Melanesian Festival of Arts and Culture was a great challenge for Papua New Guinea and the Pacific countries on how to maintain their cultural relationships.

During the last two weeks, PNG played host to the 5th Melanesian Festival of Arts and Culture, while each nation showcased their culture and heritage. The festival also served as an avenue for each nation to showcase their economic potentials.

The festival helped generate income and revenue for individuals and groups through the selling of their traditional artefacts.

Also on the show, the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, made an official visit to PNG last week, to strengthen ties with Papua New Guinea and bore witness to the signing of the Investment Promotion Protection Agreement, a bilateral agreement that will enhance the investment and business relations of the two countries.
