Basketball PNG Ending on a High

After successfully hosting the FIBA Melanesian Cup, Basketball PNG is now wrapping up its programs for 2017.

Yesterday, the Federation visited the community of Kaugere, to run the last phase of its ‘Moms A Hero’ program that was launched on August this year, funded by the Australian Government, and supported by FIBA.

Another program that kicks off this week Friday for BPNG, is the Twilight Basketball Competition at the Taurama Aquatic and Indoor Centre.

Also working with BPNG will be the High Performance Sport, who will be at hand to identify and scout talents through it Talent Identification Program, tomorrow.

She said the aim of the program is to promote health and wellbeing all at the same time.

Some of the major events the Federation is looking forward to this year and next year are the PNG Games in November, Mini Pacific Games in December, and the Oceania Championships next year.
