Basketball PNG is now applying one of its 2017 policies, Pikinini Hoops, to help break down barriers through basketball.
The program was introduced to bring aspiring youngsters together to have fun and enjoy the sport.
BPNG CEO, Joel Khalu, says changing the mindset of children to bring positive change is something the federation is aiming at achieve.
Khalu says the most important thing the federation want is to get the younger players to love the game and leave healthier lifestyle.
He said 2017 is a very special year for the federation as they prepare to host the inaugural Melanesian cup in September, with PNG to play host.
