Every ballot box will have a metal tag sealing or locking system.
This is one of the changes done by the Electoral Commission to safe guard the ballot boxes.
Electoral Officers say, past elections used plastic tags which were easily damaged.
The metal tag will now be used to avoid tampering by either supporters or those in charge of polling.
Meanwhile, the NCD Election Manager says preparation for polling in NCD is progressing well.
“NCD is ready for polling and I assure candidates and voters that NCD residents will go to the poll later this month when polling opens” said Hetinu.
Mr Hetinu says Election Officers are prepared to conduct the one day event.
“We are prepared and ready to conduct the elections for NCD”, said Hetinu.
Hetinu also thanked city residents for the peaceful campaign period, and hopes polling will be the same with no major incident reported.
