At 3pm on Sunday, one ofthe world’s largest aircraft a Russian Antonov arrived inthe country.
It carrlied with it a desalination plant that was headed for the Asylum Centre in Lombrum Manus Province.
On board were six compartments of cargo that were offloaded onto a semi-trailer truck.
Also inthe consignment included 15, 000 litres of fuel tank to provide fuel for the plant.
The equipment belonged to Red Sea Housing who is embarking on a milestone project in converting sea water into fresh drinking water for the processing Centre and hopefullythe entire mainland Manus.
