Air Niugini Defers Inaugural Flight to China

By Adelaide Sirox Kari – EMTV News, Port Moresby

A week after the announcement of the Inaugural flight to mainland China, Air Niugini has decided to defer the much anticipated commercial flight.

In a media statement the National Carrier advised that due to a busy schedule during APEC and the Christmas holiday, it would defer the inaugural flight to a later date.

Air Niugini said the airline and partners have invested heavily in setting up operations in mainland China.  They also advised all customers will be offered a full refund without penalty or reroutes via alternative Air Niugini destinations.
