Air Niugini Limited has congratulated Hane Garo, for setting the benchmark as the Buka Port Manager, in facilitating the relocation of the Buka Sales Office.
General Manager, Customers and Markets, Dominic Kaumu, was pleased with the commitment shown by Mrs Garo not only as a manager but a woman, in improving Air Niugini’s image, in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville.
Speaking during the official opening of the new Buka Sales Office on Monday June 6, Mr Kaumu said that Air Niugini will remain committed to the Autonomous Bougainville Government in service delivery.
Mr Kaumu said that focused was on customer service that is vital in its business.
“We are working in changing the mindset of our employees, so that we can change the way we are doing business,”
“Our commitment to the people of Bougainville is to support the restoration process,” said Mr Kaumu.
Landlords Mr Gerard and Mrs Nicole Habitein, of Gernic Investments, were thanked for giving Air Niugini the opportunity to do business.
Mrs Habitein said Gernic Investments was proud to do business with Air Niugini, to the people of Bougainville.
“Private, public partnership has to be the way forward, to be a better developed town in Buka,”
“We can only try our best to have a mindset, and quality and planned buildings,”
Autonomous Bougainville Government’s Deputy Speaker, Francesca Semoso, thanked Mrs Garo for her work in Bougainville.
She challenged the people to respect facilities as part of new developments in Bougainville.
“It’s not easy for a woman to actually seek help from the top management and ask them for her to make a difference in her post, and to improve the image of Air Niugini in a place that she is serving.”
The new modern building’s location is now convenient for customers.
It has a larger office space, which makes it more conducive for staff and customers.
