Hela Governor, Anderson Agiru, visited students’from his Province atthe Pacific Adventist University today.
He wasthere to present subsidies for Hela students’enrolled atthe institution.
Governor Agiru said PAU was left out ofthe initial Provincial budget allocations and wanted Hela students’here to knowthey were not forgotten.
Governor Agiru met his students’in a quiet gthering but one that will be of great importance for these Hela students’studying at PAU.
He wasthere to present K34, 000 in subsidies for 40 students’
Governor Agiru said PAU was not included inthe initial provincial budget allocation, and wanted to do right bythe students’here.
He said human resource was a priority of his and every students’had to be included.
PAU is one ofthe fastest growing and most respectable universities inthe country. Bet withthe standard and quality of education taught inthe institution, it also comes with a price.
Berser Karo Matainaho said PAU is a private institution and tuition fees needed to paid so that it continued operating.
Most ofthe Hela students’here saythey have struggled to fully paytheir tuition fees.
They expressed gratitude for the Governor’s assistance saying it will go a long way intheir education.
Governor Agiru has vowed to assist his students’ and supportthe institution inthe future.
