The POM Racquets Club had their Squash Grand final yesterday evening.
The ten-week competition saw divisions A, B, and C participate.
EMTV Sports was at the finals C-grade match.
In the C5s, Team NMSA defeated RIS4J with 3 matches to 2.
With ten PAR to win in each match, both teams secured 2 matches, NMSA’s Diana Omenefa went up against RIS4J’s Leslie Babaga.
Despite Babaga’s attacks, Omenefa responded with smooth strokes that saw them head-to-head until the 10th Point A Rally.
With both 10 all, Babaga secured the 11th point, though a serve from Omenefa was missed by Babaga.
The decider serve from Omenefa, again saw a toss back and forth until Babaga buckled under pressure and NMSA walked away with this year’s C5s title.
And in other matches, Pacific Industry won the C5s title while Technology One defeated Tropic Air and won the 2016 Pom Racquets Club Squash A5 title.
