Starting from humble beginnings, Wisil, now at 28, has represented Papua New Guinea in many international events.
Wisil has represented PNG globally at the Melanesian Championships, Oceania Youth Championships, Pacific Games, Commonwealth Games, World Championships and the Olympic Games.
After representing PNG, Wisil has won 11 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze in Pacific Games competitions, while in the mini pacific games, she has won 5 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze and in the Oceania Championships.
In her International meets, Wisil has won, 12 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze making a total of 28 gold, 10 silver and 7 bronze in all her international meets.
Wisil’s retirement was unexpected but the Queen of Tracks says it was her decision to retire in 2020, after the Olympic Games.
Wisil is already preparing to attend the world championships in London next year, 2018 Commonwealth Games, 2019 Pacific Games in Tonga and the 2020 Olympic Games. But 2020 won’t be the last for Wisil, she says she will always be at hand to help young men and women to follow their sporting dreams.
