New Water Supply System For Dogura Locals

Dogura Station in the Rabaraba Local level Government in Alotau District will soon be receiving a 24 hour water supply system.

This follows an establishment of a water bore pump in the outskirts of the station.

Yesterday, local MP, Charles Abel, visited the project site to launch the new bore pump for this needed project as the area suffered through the dry season in the past two years.

The water project will benefit schools, health centre and communities around the Dogura Station.

Despite being built at a small scale, Minister Abel said more developments will follow soon to support this important service.

He said, sustaining the project is another crucial element when building projects.

Abel said the operation of new developments must be well supported by an operational budget within its level of Government guided by the District.

Locals say effects of the dry season last year has remained and this water project will be an advantage to support families, the local community, Government institutions and church run services at Dogura Station.
