The UPNG Council met today and lifted the suspension of classes at the university.
UPNG Acting Chancellor, Nicholas Mann, announced that the UPNG Medical Faculty will resume classes on Monday, June 6, while the main campus will resume classes on June 13th.
UPNG students, who have returned to their respective home provinces, are asked to make their way back to Port Moresby.
After 10 days of suspension at UPNG acting Chancellor, Nicholas Mann, said the suspension was for the good of students, parents and UPNG, to allow normalcy to return and was pleased to announce the resuming of semester one, week 11.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Albert Mellam, said that the academic year has been rescheduled to allow semester one to finish off. He said that the academic year would finish on the 5th of November, 3 weeks behind the previous schedule date.
